A Chance To Change Lives

Dear Friends of AICM,

We hope this email finds you healthy and well!

The last few months have been a rollercoaster of information and emotions as we've all tried our best to respond well to the COVID-19 pandemic.  There are things we’re dealing with that we probably never expected to see in our lifetime.  The economy has taken a large hit, people near to us have lost loved ones to the Coronavirus, and the majority of us have found the confines of our own home the extent of our freedom.  While there is certainly no shortage of concerns for us to bring before the Lord here on our doorstep, we would like to invite you to think about being the solution to a couple of difficult situations on the other side of the world.

While this has been a trying time for us in the United States, it’s also been an extremely difficult time for our brothers and sisters in Uganda.  Many families have gone without because mothers and fathers have lost jobs and their subsequent income.  Of those families, we’ve had the honor and privilege of partnering with the men and women who teach at Agape Primary School.  Last month through the generosity of AICM’s partners we were able to give the teachers assistance and provided food for their families.  With your help, AICM would love to continue providing assistance to these amazing teachers and their families while they’re still out of work.  Taking care of these 14 teachers and their families for another month would cost just over $1,000.00.

I also want to tell you about a teenage girl named Gloria, who lives at Agape Children’s Village.  Gloria became quite ill at the beginning of the Ugandan countrywide lockdown.  She was diagnosed with malaria and typhoid and was treated accordingly.  A number of weeks later her condition quickly deteriorated and she was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.  Upon arriving at the hospital, doctors ran tests and changed her diagnosis to Bacterial and Viral Meningitis.  Unable to care for her extreme needs, she was transferred to another hospital in Kampala.  Gloria has been fighting for her life for the last week and is slowly starting to improve.  She is currently paralyzed on one side and doctors fear that she has partial brain damage.  This incredible young girl is in desperate need of an MRI, treatment, medications, and a long hospital stay that will cost about $10,000.00.

Would you consider giving towards these two great needs?  We want to assure you that every penny you give goes directly toward these two needs and that no amount is too small. Whether you’re able to take care of the sum in total or give $50, we are incredibly grateful for your sacrifice. If you would like to donate today, you can do so using the button below.

We look forward to sending you praise reports about these two needs because we’re trusting the God who cares deeply for His people in Uganda.

With you, for Him,

Aaron Cronen
