Remembering Gloria

A smile. It was her signature. A warm, laughing, good-humored, glowing smile was something Gloria wore continually. It only took a moment of knowing her to become part of her life; her friendship was freely given and treasured by so many around the world. How truly her name corresponded with her life, for the glory of God radiated from her. How beautiful it is for the mirror of His majesty to meet Him now, face-to-face.

For those of us who love Gloria, knowing we won’t see her again on this earth leaves a part of us broken. We miss her.

We miss the bubbling joy spilling over into laughter, the carefree spirit exuding confidence, her compassion and strength firmly holding her steadfast.

Oh Gloria, we love you. We will not allow your legacy to be forgotten. Your servant-hood, friendship, laughter, and fierce love set an example for each of us. Your life mattered; it counted more than you could imagine.

We grieve, but we grieve in hope. It is only for a moment that we are separated. Our Lord Jesus knows the moment when each of us will behold His glory, when our hearts will find complete healing in His love.

We humbly praise God for your life and for the way you touched our lives and showed us a glimpse of His glory.
