Seeds of Faith: Celebrating New Believers and Divine Encounters by Summer Bhola

Our day began with team worship and devotion, where we were able to re-fix our eyes on Jesus and prepare for the day before us. After this, we returned to All Saints Secondary School. We discovered that not 52, but 67 children accepted Christ as their Savior yesterday! The generosity of a donor enabled each child that came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to receive their own Bible. I have never seen such faces full of eagerness and joy upon receiving a Bible! We were also able to give each child a discipleship book. This resource will both help them understand the Scriptures more deeply and who Jesus is in a meaningful way. The AICM team gathered around the students and took a group photo before hugging goodbye and heading to our next destination.

King of Kings Secondary School was a delight to visit! The students were so engaged and full of enthusiasm. As we worshiped, several students began to lead songs. Their clear passion and talent for The Lord was so moving to witness. Through a series of testimonies & teachings, each child was asked to consider what label the enemy has given them. We explained that label “Child of God” ultimately triumphs over every other lie. As we walked around the room, we read labels bearing names such as, “Worthless”, “Demon-Child”, “Orphan”, or “Ugly”. Sandi Balli noticed one girl who sadly eyed her blank label. She quietly explained to Sandi, “I can’t write down what they call me… They call me ugly.” Today, this girl was exposed to the truth that the name Christ calls her is victorious over every other label. Though educated in a Christian school, we saw 22 children received Christ for the first time today! This school also had many Muslim students who were told and shown the great love Jesus has for them— a seed that we pray will grow and bear fruit.

Though weary in many ways, I have been so blessed to see the perseverance of our team, as well as the ways the God has carried us through when needed. He has given both strength and sleep, endurance and encouragement. Thank you for praying and supporting the team! Please continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would fill and guide us, and that He would prepare the hearts of every person we encounter. Pray that the hearts of children would be soft to the gospel of peace, and that God would continue to have His way in this trip. We are thankful for your prayers and love!
